Meet the Doctors
Gaylon E. Carter D.C.
Dr. Gaylon Carter is a '76 graduate of Logan College in St. Louis where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractor degree. He has been in continuous practice for almost forty years, starting out in Northeast Arkansas, and has been in the Little Rock area since 1980. Dr. Carter uses the Thompson and Diversified Techniques to correct spinal subluxations. Dr. Carter specializes in treatment of a broad range of injuries, from the minor (but aggravating) neck stiffness from sleeping incorrectly to major motor vehicle accidents.
Dr. Carter has served on the Board of Chiropractic Examiners, and was appointed three times by then Governor Bill Clinton. He served as President of the board for three years and as investigative officer for seven years. He also served on the Arkansas Chiropractic Association as board member, Second Vice-President and Legislative Chairman.
Dr. Carter was awarded a Fellow of the International Chiropractors Association Award in 1987, Arkansas Chiropractic Association, Chiropractor of the Year Award in 1993, 2007, and 2012, The Stan Heard Memorial Award in 2006 and 2007, the Gayle Carpenter Memorial Award in 2010 and Presidential Citations in 1983, 1993, 2008, 2011, and 2012.
Dr. Carter is married, and has three adult children and two grandsons.
Julian N. McMurray D.C.
Dr. Julian McMurray earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. After two years of postgraduate work at Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center, he earned his doctorate in Chiropractic from Logan University in Chesterfield, Mo.
Dr. McMurray specializes in Functional Mobilization, and is well disciplined in a variety of HVLA [high velocity low amplitude] chiropractic adjustive techniques. Dr. McMurray's emphasis is in Women's Health, treating conditions such as low back pain in pregnancy, pain and cramping in Menstrual Syndromes, Fibromyalgia, and Migraine Headaches.
Dr. McMurray is married with one son and resides in West Little Rock.
